It was a lovely cocktail event organised yesterday evening in Nice by the hair master, Giorgio Maccari. Celebrating one year since the hair salon started to exist in the heart of Nice, near the legendary harbour, the event kept the ambiance around beauty and art.
The special guest was Karen Joubert Cordier, an effervescent artist who exposed her paintings in Giorgio Maccari’s salon. Her first exhibitions were at Marianne and Pierre Nahon. They were followed by the Center Georges Pompidou on the occasion of the donation Daniel Cordier.
Today, Karen continues her introspective work by painting this imaginary world, also continuing her passion for illustration, inspired partly by the American culture. It also paints on all forms of supports, transforming everyday objects into real works of art. Recognized by major institutions, Karen entered the permanent collections of the Center Georges Pompidou and the Abattoirs Museum in Toulouse. In 2014, the Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art of the City of Nice (MAMAC) had collection of 10 exceptional works by the artist, each of which required several months of work.
« Karen’s paintings take me to an imaginary universe: I love sharing this evasion, as I love taking the women who come to my salon to a world of well-being, Beauty and Art » said Giorgio Maccari.
Giorgio is a passionate hair stylist, he loves to work the hair and make it a work of art. He loves challenges and luxury. And this we can see in his salon. He participated on fashion shows in Italy, Monaco, or Festival de Cannes.
It was a great privilege to see all these artistic splashes of color in a hair salon that wants to have this mix of art and beauty as its own major trait. A splash of classical twist of mood in what a hair salon should look like making women feel like real queens.
